Evgenia Markova is a PhD student in structural biology between UCL and Birkbeck passionate about bursting the academic bubble. She joined the Innovation Forum in February 2018. Enthusiastic about outreach, she organises TEDx events and public debates to facilitate exchange of ideas.
She obtained her BSc in Genetics from the University of York in 2012 and underwent a placement year at Heptares Therapeutics, a biotechnology company specialising in structure-based drug design. For her PhD, Evgenia is exploring intracellular transport by cryo-electron microscopy and super-resolution microscopy.
